Indian Antique Decor, a group for all vintage and antique decor enthusiasts, hosted a Theme Of The Week Challenge urging members to interact and share with the community! The first challenge, Mirror, Mirror, on The Wall, revolved around old-world reflections and fairy-tale fantasy! Members were urged to share snaps of the Vintage and Antique Mirrors that adorned their homes. Each entry was accompanied by a story that followed the mirror’s journey home.

Here’s a Peek at Vijayalakshmi Sridhar’s Wooden Wonderland!
Expressing her love for antique mirrors as she talks about the story behind them, Vijayalakshmi Sridhar’s entry follows wood tones and exquisite craftsmanship.
Found at an estate sale, this beautiful antique mirror at Vijayalakshmi’s home boasts meticulous detailing and numerous botanical elements surrounding the frame. Two vibrant dolls are set on the bottom ledge of the frame, both frozen in a dance pose and adding a pop of colour to the edge.
Purchased from an antique store, this gorgeous mirror makes takes full advantage of its angles, adding dimension to an otherwise closed-off space. A stunning golden-hued pot turned vase is the only occupant, its reflections creating an aesthetic illusion of a carousel, again adding dimension to the area.
Lastly, this gorgeous piece mimics a wooden frame with a vintage-style window in the center. Bought at an antique store, this earthy piece is reminiscent of courtyard homes and their simple windows. The antique mirror reflects the space and creates a room within a room that can only be seen through the window.
