Unlike the wax-resist sungudi styles, this pattern isn’t dyed on — it’s built directly into the fabric as it’s woven, giving the checks a crisp, consistent structure with that characteristic zari shimmer catching the light.

The body carries this fine zari check pattern in lime green throughout, structured and even, with the gold catching light differently depending on how the fabric falls. The border is a wide gold zari double border worked in a detailed floral motif, giving the saree its formal edge.
