These radiant brassware utensils have been coated with eiyam, a traditional tin alloy that protects the brass from corrosion while cooking. Eiyam lined vessels must be re-tinned every 6-8months. This makes them perfectly safe for everyday use over regular stoves.
It is not recommended to store pickles and curd in brass vessels. Acidic ingredients could react with the metal and leach toxins into the food, curdling/spoiling it and making it unsafe for consumption. Use ceramic jars to safely store pickles.
