Technique

This is a Pavithra Kattam Sungudi — a woven check design distinct from wax-resist dyed sungudi styles. The zari check pattern is woven directly into the fabric, running consistently across the full body. This creates a fine, textured check effect, with the zari catching the light beautifully as the fabric moves.

The full green body features an all-over zari check pattern, woven evenly across the saree.

Wash separately: Hand wash alone with mild shampoo or liquid detergent. Do not use a washing machine or harsh bleach.

Drying: Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing. Dry in the shade and avoid direct sunlight.

Avoid long soaking: These sarees are made from fine threads and should be handled gently.
