Technique

This is a Pavithra Kattam Sungudi — a woven check design distinct from wax-resist dyed sungudi styles. The zari check pattern is woven directly into the fabric, running consistently across the full body. This gives the saree its fine, textured check effect, with the zari catching the light beautifully as the fabric moves.

Care Instructions

Wash separately: Hand wash alone with mild shampoo or liquid detergent. Do not use a washing machine or harsh bleach.

Drying: Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing. Dry in the shade and avoid direct sunlight.

Avoid long soaking: These sarees are made from fine threads and should be handled gently.
