The box has been meticulously crafted in brass by the method of Dhokra wax casting, a skill native to Bastar’s tribespeople. The box stands on four small legs and has a beautiful lid with looped in designs on top. The clasp in the front is kept simple and is also made of a metal coil. The design elements on the box feature woven patterns, rope patterns and also small loops and spirals along the edges making this box a wonderful example of the art form.
