However, this mentality does not stand true for all that is passed down to us through the generations. Our traditions have always taught us to cherish things until rendered completely unusable and keep our heritage alive by passing it forward.

At Ancient Madurai, we aim to give these forgotten pieces of heritage and history a new home where they will continue to be loved and cherished for their lasting qualities and appreciated for their past.

However, some pieces that arrive at our studio are not entirely usable in their state and we do our best to give them new life as decor pieces, photography props, or even collectibles that act as tokens of their time. We believe that with a renewed purpose, these beautiful pieces can last longer and be appreciated for the craftsmanship and the skill that created them and as they are cherished, they also prove that we must not be wasteful.
