Description
This beautiful spoon is a decades old piece that makes for a wonderful addition to your kitchen! Exceptionally crafted in brass, the spoon features a simple spoon well on one end and a circular dough cutter on the other. The cutter is riveted in to allow for movement and the scalloped surface gives a wavy edge on the dough when cut. The spoon head is used to scoop out filling/mixing and the cutter is used to seal/cut the dough wrappers. The spoon handle is bent and pressed to give it a rounded edge and better grip during use. A rich patina is splotched over the surface, adding to its vintage charm.
This simple piece has been procured from Kumbakonam and is estimated to be between 30 and 40 years of age.
Styling and usage: This spoon makes for a great addition to your kitchen took set. It can also be used as a decor accent amidst flatlays or can be mounted onto frames.
