This exquisite bronze pestle and mortar set is a peek into the years of yore, with clanking sounds that ring through the kitchen, followed by wafts of spices and aromatics in the air.
The piece has a simple mortar in the shape of a chalice with a flattened rim and a subtle rib right under. The surface is embossed in repetitive patterns throughout. The entirety of the piece is doused in a rich patina, giving it a dull golden shine that complements the kitchen backsplash.
This beautiful piece has been procured from Kumbakonam and is estimated to be between 50 and 60 years of age.
