Description
This rare and heavy cast Gangalam is a decades old piece that makes for a significant addition to your vintage collection. Exceptionally crafted in brass, the kunda features traditional design with a cylindrical body set on a coned-down circular base. Linear engravings go around the entirety of the piece, keeping in with its simplistic design. The inner surface is lined with eeya, a tin alloy that protects the brass surface from corrosion. The rim of the piece is rounded, with a simple and sturdy handle looped into either side. The piece is also enveloped in a rich patina that further accentuates its aesthetic appeal!
This beautiful Gangalam has been procured from Kumbakonam and is estimated to be between 50 and 60 years of age.
Styling and usage: This Gangalam makes for a great addition to your kitchen shelves and dining room decor! It can also be used as a planter, and incorporated into pre-existing decor arrangements.
