Description

This beautiful brass thooku from the yesteryears is an exceptionally crafted piece from decades past that maintains its radiant charm to this day despite its age! The thooku has two leaf motifs riveted into either side with a handle looped into them. The lid is kept simple with a smooth dome-shaped surface. The inside of the thooku is lined with eiyam, a traditional tin alloy that protects the brass surface from corrosion. A rich patina envelopes the entirety of the piece, adding to its vintage charm.

This beautiful thooku has been procured from Kumbakonam and is estimated to be between 70 and 80 years of age.

Styling and usage: This traditional brass piece can be used to store snacks and savouries in the kitchen. It also makes for a beautiful decor accent when used amidst pre-existing arrangements.
