Most of us love shopping and especially brass addicts like me love Brass statue Shopping and today I am going to take you through Virtual tour of my brass statue pieces I bought in Puthumandapam, Madurai, the ancient shopping mall of the world .
Though called Puthumandapam (new mandap) it’s one of the oldest architecture in the city. It’s opposite to the Meenakshi Amman Temple. They sell vessels, brass , copper , traditional clothes, handloom clothes, and everything except groceries.
For an antique addict like me, it’s a haven for brass, copper antiques , and every time I go there , I pick up something 🙃
It’s a place hugely visited by the western tourists and the shop keepers talk English, French, Italian, and many other languages fluently. There are tailors in this mandapam who stitch blouses , salwars within an hour , I have got all my curtains sourced from shops here and stitched by my tailor here.
Now let’s go a virtual tour of my brass statues collection.
