Description

This exquisite find from decades ago is sure to bring the Royal British charm to your home. This vintage souvenir is a porcelain plate of Queen Elizabeth II issued for the Silver jubilee of the Queen’s coronation in the year of 1977. The plate has a simple, rounded form with the Queen’s great portrait, the crown, and royal symbols. The back of the plate bears the manufacturer’s mark from RWL London.

This plate has been procured from Mumbai.

Styling and usage: This vintage souvenir can be used as a wall plate for gallery walls or used as a small dish to hold trinkets or tea.

Significant feature: Vintage souvenir of a porcelain plate issued in 1977 to mark the silver jubilee of the Queen’s coronation.

Near the Mariamman temple pond I went several times to this antique shop, but found it closed. In the hallway there was a nice head of a man with his tongue out. Looks promising. If you buy here the proceeds go to an NGO supporting children with heart disease. It is located close to the Mariamman temple pond. Perhaps try to make an appointment before you visit.
