This exquisite peacock thoondamani Vilakku / lamp from decades past makes for a radiant addition to your home décor arrangements! Exceptionally crafted in brass, this beautiful piece features a large hanging lamp suspended from a traditional, minimalistic chain. The lamp is crafted with a large, bulbous oil reservoir with a peacock standing atop it. A small lamp well juts out below, centered along the axis of the lamp and is designed to control the flow of the oil and accommodates a single wick in the front. The entirety of the piece has been shrouded in a rich patina owing to its age that adds to its vintage charm!
This stunner has been procured from Karaikudi and is estimated to be between 40 and 50 years of age.
Styling and usage: This hanging lamp can be used to add a beautiful golden hue to a door frame and can also be suspended against a gallery wall. It can also be hung from bodhils, wooden brackets or even under protected pergolas in the backyard.
