Description
This beautiful, narrative wooden carving of a lamb and eagle makes for a whimsical addition to your living spaces! Carved by hand in wood, this beautiful piece depicts a scene frozen in time where an eagle swoops down to hunt a gullible lamb as it’s prey. The piece is carved onto a sturdy base with the meadow being defined with linear scooped out areas of the wood in an organic pattern. The definition on the animals is rather simple with lines framing the features and smoothed out cutouts defining the limbs. The wooden surface is also burnished from decades of use and adds to the vintage aesthetic of the piece!
This beauty has been procured from Thanjavur and is estimated to be between 50 and 60 years of age.
